In this week's interactive lecture, we learned about professional learning networks, also knows as PLNs. In this lecture, we discussed how useful PLNs can be for forming professional connections all over the world (Park, 2016). It was fantastic to learn about how many online resources we as developing teachers have to help us establish ourselves in our careers. 

 

We learned about several different social network, or PLN, platforms. I investigates Google+, Twitter, and Edmodo and found that I enjoyed Edmodo the most because of its security. I liked how Edmodo only allows educators, students and parents to interact with eachother. 

 

I have created an edmodo account. I have attached the screenshot here of my home page. I am in the process of establishing some professional connections with other teachers who are interested or are already teaching biology and english language arts. I have already gotten some interesting ideas for activities in my "Edmodo Library" that I hope to use in my teaching some day!
