Child Care Worker (McKernan Child Care Society)

I work every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon at the Mckernan aftercare program. I help with preparing snack, playing with the kids, overlooking the kids, and helping to provide a caring and beneficial environment for the kids to be in.

 

President (TeamUP Science)

Elected into the presidential position this incoming year. I am working towards and already in the process of expanding the group to other campuses in Canada. My job is to oversee the activities and actions of the group and ensure that the team is working well and efficiently. Additionally, a big responsibility is to aid in the public relations area in working on collaborations with other groups and sponsors. Our most recent partnership has been with Science Expo Alberta branch. 

 

 

General Faculties Council Education Representative

As an elected GFC representative for the Faculty of Education, I work to represent my faculty and its undergraduate student body. working alongside faculty, administration and other student representatives from across the various different faculties on campus, I help to make decisions and address concerns of the current student body to improve the quality of our education. 

 

Student Research Assistant (Part-Time)

I work alongside a master’s student on a project looking at mental health issues. Additionally, I helped the other personnel in the lab with data analyses and other activities in the lab.  

 

Program Support Team Fascilitator (University of Alberta Week of Welcome)

I recently got a position in Orientation that helps with the programming aspect of the program. I will be training a team of program support volunteers during the winter semester and into the spring/summer. 

 

Students' Union Councillor -- Education Rep

As an elected Students' Union representative for the Faculty of Education, I work to represent my faculty and its undergraduate student body. working alongside other student representatives from across the various different faculties on campus, I help to make decisions and address concerns of the current student body to improve the quality of our education and their student experience. 

 

University of Alberta Ambassador

March 2016-Present

 

As a University of Alberta ambassador, I have many responsibilities. I lead the campus tours, host special events, and volunteer at events that affect the city and its wellness such as the River Valley clean up and Habitat for Humanities. I also represent the university by hosting school visits, and last but not least, playing an integral role in organizing the University of Alberta Open House in October. Furthermore, I aim to engage students to ease their transition into University; this is often done through volunteer involvement at local, provincial and national recruitment events.
